I grew up labeled a 'gifted kid', which meant that even though I always struggled with procrastination, disorganization, and distractibility, ADHD wasn't on anyone's radar. I grew up meeting the expectations around me while always feeling like an imposter who wasn't ever quite getting it right or fitting in. After becoming a parent, all of the methods I'd devised over the years to keep all the balls in the air started to falter and I found myself deep in burnout. I was finally diagnosed with ADHD soon after, and started to realize just how much compensating and masking of symptoms I'd been doing my whole life.
Learning about how my brain works and finding community with other neurodivergent people was life changing for me. I finally learned sustainable ways to leverage my strengths, create the idiosyncratic approaches that matched my brain, and to stop beating myself up for all of the 'shoulds' I'd absorbed over the years. I eventually decided to focus my time and career where my attention and interest were already focused: on helping others thrive with ADHD. I received my coach training through ADDCA, and I'm certified by both the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches and the International Coaching Federation. I'm also a member of the ADHD Coaches Association.
In a complimentary and pressure-free introductory session, we'll talk more about what ADHD coaching is and see whether we're a good fit to work together. No hard feelings if you end up deciding it's not for you.
